Telecommunications Law Policy
Telecommunications is a dynamic industry that is key to today's knowledge economy. Telecommunications touches every aspect of modern life, and its influence will only broaden as our dependence on broadband technologies and the internet increase. This course examines the statutory, Administrative and constitutional foundations for the regulation of voice, video and data communications, including the regulation of traditional telecommunications services, Cable TV, and the Internet and Advanced (Broadband) Services. The course covers the historical development of related laws and the major issues currently being debated in several key areas of telecommunications regulation. Students will also have the opportunity to gain practical experience in writing memoranda and making oral arguments on a current topic in telecommunication law.
