Regulation of Financial Mkts

This course focuses on the structure, function, and regulation of the financial markets including the various stock markets, the options markets, the futures markets, the bond market, and the market for over-the counter- derivative instruments. The course also explores the interrelationships among these markets. The course includes detailed analysis of applicable common law and statutory law, rules promulgated by the SEC and CFTC, and to a lesser extent rules promulgated by the Federal Reserve Board and the Treasury Department.
