Language in the Context of the Counseling Relationship This seminar examines core aspects regarding the use of specific communication techniques to facilitate the change process. Emphasis is placed upon flexibility & adaptation of communication styles & techniques by clinicians in response to a client's preferred communication method. The use of metacommunication, metaphor & conscious/unconscious will be explored as a means of enhancing the clinicians pool of available techniques.
