Increased implications of technology on financial statement audits and advances in data analytics are driving substantial changes in the complexity and challenges facing today's auditors. This course is designed to immerse students in emerging practice issues, with a focus on the exploration of data analytic tools, relevant audit research and the latest guidance and opinions of the PCAOB and AICPA. The course will focus on KPMG automated audit procedures that are in use or in development so that students demonstrate a proficiency in KPMG data and analytic tools such as IDEA, eAAT and KAAP.
