Finding Support

Technology Services provides support to the Villanova community with our service catalog, knowledge base, website, email communications, in-person, phone, and NOVAchat, the University’s AI agent. The TechZone is a walk-up IT support center with multiple locations in the Falvey Library, The Commons in Dobbin Hall, the Charles Widger School of Law, and Tagaste Hall on Cabrini Campus. The TechZone provides general technology support to students and Villanova employees, including, but not limited to, University-issued laptop computers and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) equipment. In addition to the TechZone, Technology Services operates the Service Desk, a student- and employee-staffed contact center that serves as the primary point of contact for Technology Services.

Communication & Collaboration

All students have a personalized portal called myNova that provides access to their course schedules and course-related materials and allows them to perform most administrative functions, such as registration or grade lookup.

Identity & Access

A Villanova Account is assigned to each student to access many Villanova systems and services across campus, including myNova, Wi-Fi, Brightspace, and email. All students receive an Outlook email account with access to Microsoft applications and cloud storage via Microsoft Office 365 at office.villanova.edu

The University Card Office provides the “Wildcard”, a photo identification card that is required for all Villanova students, faculty, and staff. The Wildcard allows convenient and secure access to all card-related services, including personal identification, facility access and access monitoring, debit transaction processing (NovaBucks), meal plan administration, banking relationship management, student printing allowance, and web-based transaction processing. The Wildcard is universally accepted on campus and at selected off-campus locations.

Devices & Software

vDesktop is Villanova’s virtual desktop service that allows students to access a standard Windows desktop and selected academic software from anywhere with an internet connection. This service is especially helpful when required applications are not installed on a personal device, providing consistent, secure access to University-supported software for coursework and academic projects.

vPrint is Villanova’s student printing service, which enables students to submit print jobs from their personal laptops or devices and release them at supported campus printers using their Wildcard. vPrint offers a convenient and cost-effective way for students to print on campus, whether they are working in a residence hall, library, or academic building.
